Please follow these tips to acheive a printable quality photo to use for your photo cards:
1. Images from a digital camera only.
2. Make sure your camera is set to the highest setting before taking the photo.
3. Strong lighting. This is very important. If you are inside you will need a flash, as well as the light on. Only if your subject is near a window with a lot of natural light coming in can you get away without using a flash. Flash allows the image to focus clearly and provide a well-lit, non-grainy, crisp image.
4. When using the flash, do not get too close to your subject, instead step back and use the zoom lens. This will help with not having the flash overexpose the face.
5. Try to avoid a dark background, or overly patterned. Your camera will want to focus on the darkest pattern and you will find it very hard to get an image where the focus is on subject's face and not the overly pattered shirt or blanket.
6. Sending the image. Most photo software or storage solutions will re-size the photo when you send it via email, this will not work. We need the original, full-size image to print. The easiest way is to take your image, save it to your desktop, and then attach that image as a file attachment to an email and send it to us.
